The concept for ICON Dental Partners was developed over many years by interviewing well over 200 general dentists and specialists, and studying the strengths and weaknesses of a variety of DSO’s. ICON has developed a new approach that builds upon industry best practices, and innovates new solutions to address common shortcomings in traditional group models.

While there are many ways to construct a DSO, most approaches are similar and ultimately generate most of the financial benefit towards the acquiring party (buyer/investor). Our goal is to improve the business model by providing more economic value for doctors while maintaining their clinical autonomy, staffing autonomy, practice identity and culture.
